I’m so excited to announce a huge project I’ve been awarded a grant to complete in West Hollywood, CA! The project grant is called Art on the Outside and awarded through the City of West Hollywood’s Arts Division @wehoarts ! I’ve been working with the city to finalize logistics, so I’m finally able to announce the project in its entirety:
The “Acorn Treasure Hunt” will be an interactive installation and scavenger hunt around the city, with a map I’ve created that will help participants track down any of the 60 acorns I hand made. The acorns themselves are made from up-cycled material, paper-cache clay, hand-painted, then sealed.
In addition to the city-wide scavenger hunt, I’ll be hosting a reception at West Hollywood Park on Saturday, April 29th from 11 am – 2pm, which will be the only time all 60 acorns will be on display together! Part of the display will also be created in collaboration with artist @shaneizykowskiartist ! We’ll be sharing works-in-progress over the next few weeks, so check back to see how it’s going! We hope to see you at the reception!
